The sights were magnificent
What a terrific trip! I can’t imagine a better way to see this key corner of Russia than with Viking River Cruises. The sights were magnificent and the Viking staff was tremendous. There is one tip I want to pass on—consider spending an afternoon on your own between tours. In St. Petersburg, we left the group (told everyone including our escort first) after the Hermitage tour and walked to the nearby Church of the Spilled Blood and the Russian Museum. We had dinner on our own and then rejoined our group at the entrance of the theater for the included show. It was well worth it to get in some additional sightseeing—just make sure you have the energy and interest and don’t mind exploring on your own.

An excellent trip
My wife and I were on Viking Peterhof for your Waterways of the Czars cruise and it was an excellent trip and the staff did a terrific job. The food was fantastic and everyone involved made it a well-organized and fun experience. I would recommend this Viking cruise to anyone interested in seeing this part of Russia.
