Day 1
After breakfast, disembark and we transfer you to the Hotel Angleterre (or similar). Then, enjoy a relaxing and informative guided canal tour of the city. Take the rest of the day to explore the city’s attractions on your own. St. Petersburg boasts many museums and other cultural attractions, lovely architecture and many monuments. (In the event you decide to spend some extra time in the Hermitage, please ask your Viking host to assist you with arrangements.) This evening, stroll along the boulevards and bridges and perhaps sample the local cuisine. (B)
Day 2
After breakfast, enjoy a final full day in St. Petersburg. Visit some of the beautiful churches, museums and monuments; or, consider a visit to Yusupov Palace to see its opulent furnishings and investigate the scene of Rasputin’s murder. Later, sample more Russian cuisine or perhaps spend your evening enjoying the symphony or a ballet or opera performance at the Mariinsky Theatre or one of the city’s other delightful venues. (B)
Day 3
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and proceed to the airport for your return flight.* (B)
