Day 1
After breakfast, disembark and we transfer you to the moderate deluxe Conrad Brussels (or similar). This afternoon, you have a guided tour of the city. See the Grand Place, the old guild halls, St. Michael’s Cathedral and the famous Mannekin Pis fountain. This evening, try some of the local specialties, like moules frites (mussels with fries). (B)
Day 2
After breakfast, enjoy a full day in Brussels. Explore the Old Town area, see some of the city’s gracious architecture and gardens, or visit one of the many museums in town—perhaps the Comic Strip Museum, where you can learn about the Belgian origins of Europe’s famous Tintin character; the new Musée Magritte; or the Chocolate Museum (and shop). In the afternoon you could take a self-guided tour of European Union headquarters, or venture to some of the other charming nearby towns, such as Ghent, Brugge, Leuven or Mechelen. (B)
Day 3
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and proceed to the airport for your return flight.* (B)
