A Career With Viking

Viking Careers

Ask any of our guests what they loved most about their journey with Viking and they are likely to mention the ship’s staff. Our employees are at the heart of our success, and they are a source of great pride. We strive to have the best staff on rivers and on oceans and that means we invest a great deal in the hiring and training of our people. Working for Viking is more than a job; we want it to be a career.

Our Swiss management team oversees all aspects of the operation: shore excursions, catering, nautical operations – everyone works for one company. And in everything we do, we aim for perfection. We understand that our success is not a matter of luck or happenstance – we achieve our goals through hard work. Our fleet sails the rivers and oceans of the world and our guests expect the same high standards wherever they travel, the same friendly, unpretentious and caring service.

At Viking, we believe that the best way to meet these high expectations is to focus on the employees who deliver the service. We genuinely care about our staff’s well-being and we offer excellent growth opportunities, which allows us to retain our employees for many years.

SCAM WARNING:
Currently, internet fraudsters are publishing scam job offers for Viking River Cruises. They establish contact by using wrong email accounts (e.g. vikingoffice@swissmail.com / viking@swissmail.com / @consultant.com / swissimmigration@contactoffice.ch / swissmaritimeoffice@contactoffice.ch etc.) These offers create the impression that they are from Viking River Cruises. The fraudsters ask applicants to pay a fee for different services. As a matter of principle, Viking River Cruises asks for no pre-payment from job applicants and warns everybody of this scam.
